Education & Training

In addition to supporting patients, Dr. Pearson is a passionate educator who has worked with over a thousand fellow medical professionals around the world - both virtually and in-person. He founded Greenly Health with the mission to evolve medicine and empower more practitioners to integrate cannabinoid-based medicine into daily practice. If you’re interested in setting up a virtual 1:1 with Dr. Pearson or a small group training session with your team, email our team at Greenly Health or check out the website below for a bit more information.

Our Approach

When it comes to cannabinoid-based medicine, our approach is simple. It is not a panacea—BUT it is a reasonable option for all doctors and nurse practitioners to have in their toolbox given its efficacy, low risk of harm and multimodality. In this short video, Dr. Pearson explains his philosophy around cannabinoid medicine and what you can expect to cover in his training sessions, which are all tailored around your area of practice and level of experience with medical cannabis.

Long Term Care

Cannabinoid therapy is especially well-suited for seniors living in long term care who, on average, are on significantly more medications than those living in the general population. Outpatient seniors and those living in long term care make up a sizable proportion of our practice. Dr. Pearson has seen particularly strong outcomes using cannabinoids to manage behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), chronic pain & insomnia in this group. Reducing polypharmacy and associated side-effects has also been a very positive outcome in this population.

#CoverCannabis

Advocacy around patient access is another passion for Dr. Pearson and the Pearson Health team. We launched The #CoverCannabis Project to shine the light on the REAL people who are benefitting from cannabinoid therapy and raise awareness of the public health and economic benefit of providing coverage amongst public and private sector stakeholders. Every day, we see the life-changing effects that cannabinoid medicine is having on patients. Sadly, every day, we also have patients who are forced to stop therapy due to the cost barrier - which often means a return to the opioids, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics and other more harmful medications that medical cannabis replaced. No one should ever have to choose between buying groceries or paying for their medication. Help us spread the word by searching hashtag #covercannabis on all social platforms and sharing or commenting on these patient stories. To get more involved, email us! We’d love to hear from you!
